iDisp High Resolution Displacement Sensor
The iDisp displacement sensor solution is high accuracy digital linear sensor made from linear encoders. One can get resolutions of +/- 0.00015 mm from these digital gauges. They have a spring-loaded probe tip and a built in LCD screen to display the measured values.
The iDisp Sensor can be bought standalone or with a USB Interface and SensorVUE software to display, log and plot data on Win 8/10/11 PC or Tablet. These displacement sensors are frequently bought together with a force sensor with USB output for simultaneous Force and DIsplacement measurement applications via USB. SensorVUE or ControlVUE software can be used to display, log and plot both force & displacement data vs time or Force vs. Displacement data.

iDisp to SensorVUE Configuration with USB Output
A data port on the unit allows one to get data via a USB (serial) connection into our SensorVUE program on a PC to display, log and plot the displacement values easily.

SensorVUE Software
Our SensorVUE software allows you to mix and match different kinds of sensors and display, log and plot all of them within a single interface. It can handle force and displacement sensors simultaneously as shown below. It can not only show multiple force sensors and one displacement sensors as a Value vs. Time plot, but in additional it can also plot Force vs. Displacement plots and allow a user to characterize material properties! This allows you to create a simple, inexpensive self made universal testing machine at a much lower cost than what one can purchase it for in the market.

Force and Displacement Configuration with USB Output
iDisp can be used with a force senor to receive displacement and force data simultaneously. A data port on the iDisp unit allows one to get data via a USB (serial) connection to the PC. The force sensor is conencted to a digital USB interface that connects to the PC. Our SensorVUE software running on the PC receives data from both the force sensor and displacement sensor and displays, logs, and plots the data simultaneously.

FAQ
The iDisp is a very high accuracy displacement sensor/height gauge that can be used to measure relative displacements with very high accuracy. Our offering provides a USB interface module that makes it easy to connect with a PC and display, log and plot data.
A very high quality linear encoder is used to create the iDisp and it comes integrated with an LCD Display
The iLVDT is a linear variable displacement transducer that operates on the principle of a variable resistance sensor. It comes in ranges up to a range of 0-100 mm maximum displacement with an accuracy of +/- 1% of full scale. The iSP is a string pot sensor with a range of as high as 80 inches with an accuracy of +/- 1% of full scale. The iDisp comes in a maximum og 0-60 mm range but with +/- 0.0015 mm accuracy and is best used in applications that needs high accuracy and repeatability of results with a spring loaded stylus.
The iDisp comes with a USB Interface and is not compatible with our DI-100/Di-1000 series USB or Wireless interfaces.
The iDisp comes pre-calibrated and you do NOT need to pay for a calibration service.
