Part-time Operations Associate

Looking for someone who can help current team members with operations tasks. 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Pick up and move or place items or packages up to 50 lbs
  • Pick and Kit parts to complete orders based on products ordered
  • Calibrate sensors 
  • Generate and Apply labels to products
  • Perform quality checks and QA/QC tasks 
  • Pack orders with sufficient packing to avoid damage during shipping
  • Generate shipping labels and documents to domestic and overseas customers using UPS, FedEx, USPS etc
  • Send out emails about shipment status to customers after shipment
  • Organize parts inventory and periodically assess low inventory that needs to be ordered, get quotes, and generate POs based on approved quotes

 

Candidates can initially start with as low as 2 hours a day, five days a week, mid afternoon and go up to 20 hours a week. 

Sales Engineer

Looking for electronics or mechanical engineers (about to graduate or with one or two years experience) to join our small but exciting startup and help with all aspects of the business including:

  • Pre-Sales Application Engineering
  • Post-Sales Customer Support
  • Marketing & Business Development

 

Primary Desired Skills:

  • Micro-controller Development Skills (Arduino, Microchip & TI MSP430 a big plus)
  • Embedded Systems development (PCB layout skills e.g. Eagle a big plus)
  • Firmware development with C/C++
  • VisualStudio//Python/Javascript/Java/CSS/HTML
  • LabVIEW/Matlab
  • SolidWorks

 

Bonus Skills:

Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

Sales Associate

Looking for someone who can help current team members with sales and marketing tasks. 

  • Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, social networks 
  • Send out Estimates
  • Follow up on estimates
  • Receive and enter orders
  • Create kits for processing orders
  • Send out payment instructions 
  • Receive payments 
  • Help pack and ship orders
  • Follow up with tracking numbers
  • Update and maintain customer records in Zoho CRM
  • Create and share weekly, monthly, quarterly sales data with management 
  • Identify sources for new leads and generate leads for new customers
  • Assist with representing company at Trade Shows

 

Ideal candidate will be literate and skilled at:

  • Excel
  • PowerPoint 
  • Zoho CRM (will train)
  • SEO (can learn)
  • Some HTML/CSS/Javascript familiarity
