Force and Displacement Measurement
Our advanced Force and Displacement Measurement Solutions are designed to provide precise and simultaneous measurements of force and displacement, ensuring accurate and reliable data for your applications. Some key areas where these Force and Displacement solutions may be used are:
- Material Testing: Evaluating the mechanical properties of materials, such as tensile strength, compression, and elasticity, by measuring how they deform under different forces.
- Quality Control in Manufacturing: Ensuring components meet specifications by measuring the force required for assembly and the resulting displacement, helping to detect defects.
- Biomedical Research: Studying the mechanical behavior of biological tissues and prosthetics to improve medical devices and treatments.
- Automotive Testing: Assessing the performance of vehicle components like suspension systems, seat belts, and airbags by measuring the forces and displacements during crash simulations and durability tests.
We provide three types of Displacement Sensors - iLVDT, iDisp, and iSP. You can pair any of these displacement sensors with our resistive load cells.
Force and Displacement Measurement with iLVDT
Force and Displacement with USB Output
iLVDT can be used with a force sensor to receive displacement and force data simultaneously. The force sensor is connected to a digital USB interface (DI-1000U) that connects to the PC. The displacement sensor is connected to another USB interface (DI-1000U-5V) that also connects to the same PC.
Our SensorVUE software running on the PC receives data from both the force sensor and displacement sensor and displays, logs, and plots the data simultaneously.

Force and Displacement Configuration with Wireless Output
You can combine any of the wireless load cell solution we offer with a wireless displacement measurement solution as shown below to quickly put together a system that allows you to simultaneously measure both force and displacement on a PC wirelessly. Our SensorVUE solution allows you to display, log and plot data from both force and string pots within a single program and a single log file with user selectable time intervals. The DI-1000ZP wireless interface comes with a rechargeable battery for truly cordless operation up to 1000 feet away from a PC.

Force and Displacement Measurement with iDisp
Force and Displacement Configuration with USB Output
iDisp can be used with a force senor to receive displacement and force data simultaneously. A data port on the iDisp unit allows one to get data via a USB (serial) connection to the PC. The force sensor is conencted to a digital USB interface that connects to the PC. Our SensorVUE software running on the PC receives data from both the force sensor and displacement sensor and displays, logs, and plots the data simultaneously.

Force and Displacement Measurement with iSP
Force and Displacement with USB Output
iSP can be used with a force sensor to receive displacement and force data simultaneously. The force sensor is connected to a digital USB interface (DI-1000U) that connects to the PC. The displacement sensor is connected to another USB interface (DI-1000U-5V) that also connects to the same PC.
