Conflict-Free Minerals Policy Statement
Responsible Sourcing and Funding
We're committed to ensuring that we are not sourcing minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold) that fund armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries. We do not ban sourcing of minerals from this region because such a policy may harm legitimate miners.
We shall take steps across our entire supply chain to confirm our sourcing does not fund armed groups in the DRC and adjoining countries. As part of this program, we shall carry out a reasonable country of origin inquiry on the products we manufacture and perform supply chain due diligence following the processes and procedures set forth in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. Our Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer is responsible for the efforts of this team.
We expect suppliers to have a policy in place and implement a system to trace the origin of tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold supplied to the Company, following the template developed by the Responsible Minerals Initiative.
If any external business partner has challenges in complying with our expectation, we'll attempt to work to address these challenges. If compliance cannot be achieved, we will terminate the relationship with the external business partner.
ROHS
The RoHS Directive aims to prevent the risks posed to human health and the environment related to the management of electronic and electrical waste.
It does this by restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in EEE that can be substituted by safer alternatives. These restricted substances include heavy metals, flame retardants or plasticizers.
The Directive promotes the recyclability of EEE, as EEE and its components that have become waste contain fewer hazardous substances. At the same time, it ensures a level playing field for manufacturers and importers of EEE in the European market.
Loadstar Sensors certifies that products sold to EU member states meet the requirements of the RoHS Directive when applicable.
CE/FCC
FCC Compliance Testing is a testing service tailored for all testing and compliance of electronics devices and gadgets. FCC/CE Certification Testing ensures that new product designs meets the defined CE/UL/FCC norms. FCC compliance testing is mandatory for a wide variety of products designed for the EU/US markets.
Our products meet the CE/FCC standards.
DI-1000 Compliance Certificate
Volatility Certification
A Statement or Letter of Volatility is a specification issued by device manufacturers. Its main function is to outline the volatile and non-volatile nature of the memory on the device. Users can refer to this to comply with security requirements and as a guide when handling the device.
Loadstar Sensors hereby certifies that our interface products including the DI-100U, DI-1000U, and DI-400U devices (and their minor variants) have non-volatile memory that preserves data even when the device is turned off. It stores calibration coefficients and settings in RAM memory. It is used for generating appropriate sensor data in standard physical units.
