VX-100

0-5V Sensor Adapter

The VX-100 is an adapter one can add on to the DI-1000 family of USB sensor interfaces to plug in a sensor with a 0-5 VDC output. It can be used with the USB or wireless versions of DI-1000.

The normal DI-1000 family of USB Load Cell Interfaces are used with Load Cells that are typically mV/V devices which are powered with a 5V power supply and hence have an output range between 0-10 mV or at most 0-20 mV.

In order to handle a 0-5 V input signal the VX-100 has a resistive divider that down regulates the 0-5V signal to the 0-10 mv input signal needed by the DI-1000U family.

This board has four pins V+ for the power supply to the sensor, S+ for the output signal from the sensor, G for Ground and SH for the shield. The V+ and Ground are power input to the sensor. The S+ and G is the output signal from the sensor. If the sensor has a shield connection then connect it to the available pin labeled SH, if not, no worries leave it blank.

VX-100 is included with our DI-1000 5V series, i.e. DI-1000U-5V, DI-1000UHS-5V, DI-1000UHS-1K-5V, DI-1000ZP-5V, DI-1000BLE-5V, and DI-1000WiFi-5V.

Use VX-100 with USB Interface

For USB output, the iLVDT and iSP sensors should be mated and calibrated with the DI-1000U-5V USB sensor interface. A data port on the unit allows one to get data via a USB (serial) connection into our SensorVUE program on a PC to display, log and plot the displacement values easily. You can also write your own code to access values from the interface using simple ASCII commands.

Use VX-100 with Wireless Interface
