Troubleshooting COM port connectivity issue when using LV-100/LV-400 with a non loadstar Bluettoth or other wired/wireless Device
If after connecting your iLoad Series USB load cells or any resistive load cell with DI-100U, DI-1000U or DI-400U USB interfaces, and then starting LV-100 or LV-400 LoadVUE Lite software, the screen looks like this, where it cannot find any sensors,
and the refresh buttons for USB and wireless do not work…
Then Open Device Manager on your PC
Look under the Ports (COM & LPT) section of the Device Manager. Our USB load cells/interfaces appear as USB Serial Port (COM XX).
But if you have any additional ports that do not have that format (for e.g. Communications Port/COMXX) then it might be interfering with the proper operation of LoadVUE Lite.
In that case, please right click and Uninstall those COM ports.
This should generally clear up the problem.
Once the COM port is uninstalled, try restarting the software again and if needed, refresh the USB ports using the given button. You should see a screen like this saying “Ready”. Tare the sensor and click on Start to see the sensor readings.
