iBite^® Pro Bite Force Sensor consists of a miniature resistive load cell with a specially designed holder that a patient can hold in his hand while biting on a surface that pushes down on the load cell. The sensor has a capacity of 100 kg (220 lb) and is made of stainless steel. The sensor should be covered with a plastic sleeve to avoid contaminating the sensor and thrown away after each use. The sensor can be cleaned with an alcohol wipe to sanitize it. The output from the sensor is just a few millivolts (approx 1 to 2 mV/V). As an option you can purchase it in one of the following configurations:

Each configuration comes with a sensor, interface, calibration certificate, and software. The kit comes ready to use out-of-the-box.
