Instead of hanging the IV bag from just an ordinary hanger, instead hang it from a special hanger built using our load cell with wireless output.

This system can be used to significantly reduce the work-load placed on nursing staff and reduce serious medical emergencies or even deaths from dehydration.  Sensors can use either USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet or other common protocols.

Weight sensors can be placed under bed posts, inside mattresses and in other locations to monitor a patient.  By gathering and analyzing data about weight distribution on a bed, one can infer things like - is the patient on the bed or not, how well the patient is sleeping, was he or she tossing and turning all night, did the patient get up on time, is the patient on the bed but not moving at all etc.  This information can be analyzed and behavior patterns can be assessed to send out alerts to medical emergency personnel or relatives or healthcare professionals as needed.
