Resistive Load Cells

Loadstar Sensors offers a wide range of load cells built using bonded foil strain gauge technology. These resistive load cells offer excellent accuracies (as good as +/- 0.02% of full scale accuracy) with temperature compensation usually between -10C to 40C and excellent compensation for off-center loading errors.

Althought the base output of these load cells is millivolt range DC voltage output, we offer a variety of signal conditioning devices that can be used to obtain 0-5V DC analog output, Serial TTL output, USB output or wireless output from the load cell.

RAPG Low Capacity Single Point Aluminum Load Cell These small, low profile(70 mm x 15 mm x 22 mm), single point beam load cells are the most commonly used load cells for small precision scales with maximum 6"x6" platform size and capacities up to 3 kg. They offer good off-center compensation and are available in 300 g, 1, 2 or 3 kg. in the small size. RSP1 Single Point, Aluminum Load Cell These single Point load cells are commonly used for price computing scales, bench scales, retail scales, counting scales and balances. RSP2 Single Point, Overload Protected Aluminum Load Cell These cantilever load cells are constructed from aluminum and are overload protected and offer low capacities from 100 grams to 2000 grams. RSP3 Single Point, Aluminum Load Cell, OIML These single point load cells are ideal for building simple scales since they have a slight offset on the top and bottom of the load cell, taking out the need to use spacers for separating the platform from the load cells. RSP4 Low Profile Single Point Load Cell These low profile single point load cells with heights as low as 12.7 mm (0.5") and lengths of 80 mm are ideal for building small scales with very low height. They are the smallest single point load cell we offer. They have good accuracy, stability and excellent mounting features with threaded holes. RAP3 Single Point Load Cell These single point load cells are suitable for health kiosks and other larger size floor scales. They have four mounting holes on each side to allow for robust mounting of loading platform and base. They are available in 50 lb., 100 lb., 250 lb. and 500 lb. capacities. RRP2 Single Point, NTEP Load Cell These NTEP certified load cells are constructed with high grade aluminum and come complete with 10 foot load cell cable. They are ideal for constructing weighing platforms up to 2 foot x 2 foot in size. RSB1 Steel Button Load Cell These button style high capacity load cells are only about 3.25" in diameter and about 1.75" high and are great for compression load measurements. They have a built in raised surface where you apply the compression loads or forces. RSB2 Steel Button Load Cell These RSB2 button load cells are only 2" in diameter and about 1" high and are excellent for measuring compression loads with very high accuracy and stability with time and temperature. They have four threaded mounting holes on the base for easy assembly. They are available in 500 Kg and 1000 Kg capacities. RSB3 Button Load Cell with threaded male stud These button style load cells with a male threaded stud are only 2 inches in diameter but can be used to measure loads as high as 500 kg. or 1100 lbs. They have excellent accuracies and convenient threaded mounting holes or studs on both sides of the load cell. The male threaded stud can be used to create a leg for a scale using a self-leveling female foot. Four such pairs can be used to build a very accurate large area floor scale or build a weigh-in motion check weigher for a conveyor belt. RSB4 Miniature Load Cell with Tension & Compression These universal load cells have good accuracy, stability and excellent mounting features for use in tension or compression. RSB5 Subminiature Load Cell These tiny load cells have good accuracy and stability for use in compression. They are available in 150 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 5 lb, 10 lb and 50 lb capacities, with diameters less than 10 mm and height as low as stud as low as 3.3 mm. For more information, see our RSB5 Subminiature Load Cell Page
RSB6 Low Profile Pancake Load Cell with Through Hole These pancake style resistive load cells have a much lower profile than comprable load cells from competitors. In addition the through hole at the center of the load cell allows users to use it for compression or tension applications. They are available in 250 kg (550 lb), 500 kg (1100 lb), 1000 kg (2200 lb), 2500 kg (5500 lb) and 5000 kg (11,000 lb) capacities, with diameters as low as 90 mm ( 3.54")and heights as low as 25 mm (~ 1"). For more information, see our RSB6 Low Profile Pancake Load Cell with Through Hole Page
RAS1 Steel S Beam Load Cell Named for their distinctive S shape, S-Beam load cells (or S beam Load cells) are one of the most versatile load cells available in the market and offer the best solution for applications that need both tension and compression force measurement. They are most often found in batching scales, industrial weighing and control systems. RSS1 Steel S Beam Load Cell Named for their S type shape, S beam load cells are most often found in batching scales, industrial weighing and control systems. RRS1 S-Beam, Alloy Steel Load Cell These NTEP certified S-Beam load cells are ideal for applications needing both tension and compression (universal). REB5 Subminiature Load Cell These tiny sub miniature load cells have excellent accuracy and stability for compression force measurement. They are suitable for applications where there is very little space available for placing the load cells. REB7 Universal Sub Miniature Load Cell These tiny sub miniature load cells have excellent accuracy and stability for compression and tension and universal force measurement. They are suitable for applications where there is very little space available for placing the load cells. RAL 1 Low Profile High Capacity Pancake Load Cell These pancake load cells are constructed with high grade alloy steel, come complete with 20 foot four wire cable and are designed for heavy duty industrial weighing and testing applications. They come in two configurations - one for compression applications only and the other one with a threaded hole that can be used in tension or compression. They are ideal for tank weighing hydraulic or pneumatic press calibration and other heavy duty applications.
