Wireless Load Cell in various Sizes and Configurations
Wireless load cells bring additional options to projects that require force readings in remote or tight areas. Even in situations where using a cable connection is possible, going wireless can help engineers manage multiple load cells from one workstation.
USB connections are typically used for the management of wireless load cells. These units have a direct digital output, so the signal doesn't need to be processed before it is run into a computer. Wireless load cells are made with sturdy materials, so they are able to handle a variety of weight loads and still provide accurate readings.
Wireless Load Cells Work With Software
While a wireless load cell can be run directly into a computer, software brings additional benefits. Programs provide engineers with a clean interface and allow for direct management and calibration of the load cells.
Wireless units can be built in a variety of shapes to accommodate project needs. The building materials are much more resistant to changes in the test environment, so external variables have a minimal effect on their accuracy and calibration. Since the wireless load cells do not incorporate string gauges, they can be made in miniature load cell that are less than 1 inch in height.
At Loadstar Sensors, Inc., we make wireless load cells in a variety of configurations and sizes, ranging from miniature to large. We also sell interface software and different wireless network accessories.
