Jeffrey M. Drazan, Chairman
Jeff is a co-founder and Managing Director of Bertram Capital, a private equity firm. Previously, he was a co-founder and Managing Director of Sierra Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm with $1.5 billion under management where he served for 23 year. Prior to Sierra, Jeff served in a variety of operations and R&D management positions at both AT&T and Bell Laboratories.
Jeff has served as a Director of Centex Telemanagement (CNTX – Acquired by MFS), Stratacom (STRM – Acquired by Cisco), On Assignment (ASGN), Micromuse (MUSE – Acquired by IBM), ConvergeNet (Acquired by Dell), Combinet (Acquired by Cisco), Quinta (Acquired by Seagate), Vertel (VRTL), ParAcer (Acquired by Stratos Lightwave), FrontBridge (Acquired by MicroSoft), Sychip (Acquired by Murata), Micro Power (Acquired by Westin Presidio), Valere Power (Acquired by Eltek) and Digital Generation Systems (DGIT). He currently serves as a Director of numerous public and private companies, including American Fiber Systems, Theravance (THRX), Element Labs, Power Distribution, Inc and AuthorHouse.
Prior to joining the venture capital community, Mr. Drazan was employed by AT&T, where he held various positions within the operating divisions of AT&T-Long Lines, AT&T Information Systems and Bell Laboratories.
Mr. Drazan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA degree from New York University 's Graduate School of Business Administration.
Troy Fukumoto, Managing Director
As Managing Director of AIG SunAmerica Ventures, Troy manages SunAmerica’s venture capital investments. He serves on the board of directors for several private companies and serves on the advisory committee of several venture capital and tech buyout funds. Troy led investments in a number of companies including Bloom Energy, Corus Pharma (acquired by Gilead), Globus Medical, Loadstar Sensors, Magellan Navigation, SenoRx (SENO), Siimpel, Touchdown Technologies, Vantage Media, Verus Pharma, and XenoPort (XNPT). He also manages investments in over 40 venture capital and tech buyout funds.
Prior to SunAmerica, Troy worked for a venture capital firm in San Francisco. During this period, he was involved in investing over $200 million in over 20 technology companies. These investments resulted in 8 IPOs and 8 acquisitions including ConvergeNet (acquired by Dell), Extensity (EXTN), New Focus (NUFO), Onlink (acquired by Seibel), Packeteer (PKTR), Ramp Networks (acquired by Nokia), Saba Software (SABA), Silicon Spice (acquired by Broadcom), Sitera (acquired by Vitesse), Transmedia (acquired by Cisco) and XLNT (acquired by Intel).
Earlier, Troy held engineering and management positions at TRW Space and Electronics Group (now Northrop Grumman Space Technology). At TRW, he developed advanced RF and digital communications systems for several satellite programs including Milstar. Troy holds BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and a MBA from the UCLA Anderson School. At USC, Troy was elected to two national engineering honor societies, Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
Paul Dali, Managing General Partner
Paul C. Dali is a founder and the managing principal of KeyNote Ventures. Prior to this venture, he was founder and managing general partner of Convergence Partners and a general partner of Nazem & Co. and 3i Ventures.
Mr. Dali is a successful, progressive and visionary investor who was responsible for backing one of the first companies to put sound on computers (MediaVision), and one of the first companies to use the Internet for enterprise level network security and updates (Cybermedia). Because of his operating background, experience and current business conditions, Mr. Dali is focusing on enterprise software and the "real time enterprise".
Prior to his career in venture capital, he had 23 years of operating experience that included building Regis McKenna into the largest high tech marketing and communications company as its CEO, and serving as vice president and general manager of the PC Division of Apple Computer and chairman of its marketing council.
Both his operating and venture capital background have made Mr. Dali an invaluable member of the board of directors, or board of advisors, on which he currently serves, which include Blazent, BroadWare Technologies, Candera, iPolicy, Nuasis, UltraDots and Webify. He was also a board member of Cybermedia, MediaVision, Storm Software, @POS and Repeater Technology, all previously public companies. His experience and reputation as the "Godfather of Multimedia VC Business" (Red Herring, June 1993) has made him a sought-after speaker on marketing, entrepreneurism and venture capital. Mr. Dali has a BS degree in finance from California State University.
Bill Harris, Board Member
Harris brings more than 20 years experience in business, holding several positions in the media, finance and technology industries. Harris is currently chairman of PassMark Security, and serves on the board of numerous public and private technology companies, including Macromedia and EarthLink. He was formerly CEO of PayPal and, before that, CEO of Intuit.
Harris earned a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Div Harish, Founder & CEO
With more than 15 years experience in business management, finance and engineering, Harish brings a unique background that melds solid technical skills with an ability to spot and nurture new business opportunities.
Prior to founding Loadstar Sensors, Div founded YPoint Capital, Inc. that offers strategic finance, management consulting and market research to companies that range from venture funded startups to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Harish previously worked with Taproot Ventures – an early stage venture fund, DLJ – an investment bank, GE Americom – a satellite services operator and Desktop Engineering – a creator of CAD tools.
Harish holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a B-Tech from IIT Bombay.
Bill Dallenbach, Founder & Board
Member
The idea for Loadstar's capacitive sensing product was hatched by Bill Dallenbach, an entrepreneur and inventor who has been developing new products in his “garage” for the past twenty five years.
Bill has a talent for spotting unmet needs and developing electromechanical devices that blend mechanical innovation with microcontroller based instrumentation and controls. Some of his earlier inventions include – Hot Lap in-car timing system, Hotwire one-wire wiring harness for automobiles, a computerized weather station, hydrocolloid dental heater, a computer flat mouse, and the first embedded microprocessor ECG. Prior to Loadstar Sensors, Bill Dallenbach founded Serena Industries Inc., and Trius Corp.
Dallenbach earned a BA from San Jose State University.

John Schultz, Founder and VP of Electronics Development
Schultz has over 35 years of experience in analog and digital circuit design. He was part of the development team at Diasonics (sold to GE Medical Systems) that developed the ultrasound imaging system.
Prior to that John worked for Quantex, General Instrument, American Microsystems, Grumman, Lockheed and the US Navy where he held various technical and operating roles.
K Suresh, VP of Operations
Suresh brings more than 20 years of Operations and Quality
management expertise to Loadstar Sensors. Most recently, he
established the manufacturing function for Cooligy, a
venture-funded startup building liquid cooling systems for
electronics. While there, he took the first product from
technology development to $6M in shipments in the first quarter
of production. Earlier, Suresh directed operations at Juniper
Networks and was responsible for revenue shipments in excess of
$1B and was a key driver in establishing Juniper's quality
system to achieve TL 9000 certification. Suresh has also held
various management and manufacturing engineering positions at
Hewlett Packard.
Suresh holds Masters degrees from
Stanford and Cornell and a Bachelors from IIT, Madras.
King Wong, Director of Engineering - Mechanical
King has over 20 years experience in the disc drive, consumer electronics, telecommunication and scanner industries. King has successfully completed new product development for a variety of applications and has experience in detailed design, analysis, testing and offshore manufacturing. He has held increasingly senior engineering and product development roles at Memorex, Maxtor , Quinta (later acquired by Seagate), Microvision and most recently at Riospring where he was Director of Mechanical Engineering.
King has a BSME from National Taiwan University and an MSME from University of New Mexico.
Jonathan Lim, Director of Hardware Engineering
Jonathan has 20+ years of experience in electronics research and
development. Prior to joining Loadstar Sensors, Jonathan was the Principal Engineer at Entrisphere, a venture funded startup manufacturing central office telecommunication equipment. Jonathan has also held various senior engineering and management positions including building R&D teams from ground-up at VINA Technologies and at Kelly Computer Systems.
Jonathan has a BSEE from San Francisco State University and a MSEE from Santa Clara University.
Soundar Rajan, Director of Software
Soundar has over 17 years of experience in CAD/Engineering related software development. He was a project manager at Desktop Engineering in which capacity he successfully developed computerized handbook software for automotive and structural engineering industries and was also involved in developing custom software solutions for clients such as Phoneix AG, AK Steel, US Steel and the big three automakers.
Soundar has a BSME from University of Madras and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Art Koehler, Director of Sales
Art was formerly the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Americas at Vishay BLH in Norwood, MA – the leading supplier of precision load cells, instrumentation, scales, and complete process weighing systems. Art has over thirty years of experience in marketing process control systems, load cells and specialty transducers. He has a proven track record managing sales teams to satisfy customer requirements and to achieve strategic goals.
Art holds a Business degree from New England College.
Jay Patel, Director of Sales /Western Region
Jay has 15+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing also 15+ years of experience in Engineering. He has been Director of Sales with a number of companies such as Futek, CD Associates, Lucas Aerospace & TRW Globe Motors, His engineering experience has been in Aerospace & Industrial products such as Precision Motors and Actuators.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University of Bombay, India and MBA from University of Dayton, Ohio.
