Applications/Sales Engineer
Job Summary
Work closely with our sales team to understand and help customers use our product. Enable Loadstar Sensors’s customers and prospects to meet their product and instrumentation requirements by applying Loadstar Sensors’s patented capacitive sensing technology. Propel Loadstar Sensors’s growth by profitably designing, prototyping and delivering custom solutions that gain us OEM customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify customer requirements and create models, sketches and prototypes for customer proposals. Work closely with Sales and business development to gain customer approval for proposals.
- Determine appropriate Loadstar Sensors products and technologies to fulfill requirements. Drive development of product extensions as needed within Loadstar.
- Design and prototype custom products and solutions and deploy these in customer applications from preliminary testing through acceptance.
- Keep an eye out for evolving market and customer
trends and use this knowledge to define next generation products.
- Create and enhance relationships with key technical
decision makers at prospective and existing Loadstar Sensors customers, any
applicable industry groups, etc.
- Occasionally, you will be responsible for seminars or
training at industry events or for our customers, Sales team or
distributors.
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience in electromechanical systems, automation and controls in a product design role and/or applications engineering or customization role.
- Experience with industrial equipment or
automotive industries preferred.
- Must be capable of discussing both mechanical and electrical aspects of customer requirements and solution implementations.
- BSME/BSEE a must. MSME/MSEE or equivalent preferred.
- Fluency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) a plus.
- Ability to use sensors and build applications using microcontrollers and/or PLCs a big plus.
- Good communication skills – creative writing, business communication, presentation skills. Some Sales experience preferred.
- Sound work ethic and teamwork. Prior technical management
and project management experience.
- Self starter with can-do attitude and experience in
working in a startup environment.
Office Assistant
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage day to operations of the office
- Screen and route telephone calls
- Organize and file important documents and confidential information
- Perform routine accounting tasks using Quickbooks
- Perform activities related to expense reimbursement, payroll, health insurance and other personnel and HR related matters
Good communications skills, familiarity with MS Office and Quickbooks a MUST. Prior experience working in a small startup environment preferred.
Inside Sales Interns
Sell sensors and/or instrumentation products
Responsibilities will include:
- Handle incoming sales calls
- Understand customer requirement and suggest suitable products
- Create quotations/invoices and follow up with calls to close deals Develop sales brochures and training manuals
- Meet company's revenue generation targets
- Report progress to internal executive team as well board members
- Work with customer's technical team as required

Junior Firmware Engineer
Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Firmware Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The position entails writing firmware for embedded processors such as PIC18F, MSP430, etc., writing device drivers to interface to hardware, and writing the driver-level programs under Microsoft Windows SDK/DDK.
Responsibilities
- Embedded firmware development including assembly language and C for embedded system.
- Windows programming including USB drivers, DLL, HID, etc. using Windows SDK & DDK.
- Hardware debugging including using logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.
Requirements
- BSEE (MSEE preferred) with minimum 1-2 years of experience.
- Experience with hardware and firmware development for embedded systems.
- Proficient in Windows programming including Visual Studio, SDK, and DDK.
- Must be a self-starter who could work independently with minimum supervision.
